What should I expect on move-in day?
We love that you already have move-in marked in your calendar for 9:00am on August 20, 2022. And to show our appreciation, we’ve compiled important information you’ll need to know. Sure, we’re asking you to read about late charges and paperwork, but it doesn’t make our gratitude less real.
When you arrive at Stadium Village Flats for move-in, please follow the signs to check in and pick up the keys to your new home.
If you want to avoid late charges (and who doesn’t?), you’ll want to make sure that your first installment, along with any administrative fees not yet paid, are paid by August 1, 2022. Late charges will apply unless we have received the first installment payment within the two-day grace period (by August 3, 2022). Checks or money orders should be made payable to Stadium Village Flats and can be mailed or brought directly to our office.
You can also pay online through the resident portal using a debit card, credit card or electronic checking transfer, or by automatic recurring charge to your debit card, credit card or bank account. There are no convenience fees when paying from your bank account or with a check.
Class hasn’t even started yet and we’re already talking about paperwork. Lucky for you, this won’t be graded.
Nothing ruins move-in faster than missing paperwork (trust us). If you haven’t done so already, please submit your guarantor form. We’ll need to approve this before you’re able to move-in. No guarantor? Sign up with Leap by selecting this option on your application or by calling our office today. Alternately, you will be required to prepay the final two installments in advance in order to move in, as described in your Housing Agreement.
Prior to move-in, you or one of your apartment-mates must contact Xcel Energy for electricity and Center Point Energy for gas to establish service in that resident’s name prior to move-in day. Please contact your apartment-mates to determine in whose name the service will be established, then contact Xcel Energy at 800-895-4999 and Center Point Energy at 612-372-4727 to set up your account. Please be prepared to provide proof that the electricity service has been established in one of your names prior to move-in day.
It’s probably not something you normally think about, but you are required to have at least $100,000 of liability protection by the time you move in, and throughout your stay with us. This doesn’t cost much, and is designed to protect you if you accidentally cause a fire or flood. As unlikely as that sounds, if something happens, you’ll be very glad to have it. How easy have we made it to take care of this requirement? You don’t have to do anything at all; we’ll automatically charge your account $12 per installment, waive the requirement to provide separate insurance, and buy our own insurance to cover the same risks. If you have your own liability insurance and don’t want to be charged for this, please upload your insurance certificate and we’ll let you know right away if it meets the requirements.
